Usetools is a hand-vetted directory of 1,300+ design and AI tools. Every tool is reviewed before it's listed, and the pages here are written to answer what a vendor's own site won't — what a tool actually costs, whether the free tier is real, and what happened to it if it was acquired or shut down.
Pricing and lifecycle facts are checked against the source and dated. Where a page says “Reviewed by Calin Rasniceru on [date]”, it was confirmed by hand on that date — never an automated guess. Automatically-refreshed facts are labelled “Auto-checked” so you always know which is which.
