About Design Good Practices
Design Good Practices is a free educational resource covering standards and conventions for building and maintaining design systems. Its guidelines are organized around naming, the organization and structuring of components, and documentation, alongside articles on topics such as design tokens, color contrast, accessible components, and designing better inputs.
It also includes a set of component references (buttons, alerts, filter chips, list items) and short Figma tutorials on auto layout, variables, and Figma AI. The material is aimed at product and UI designers who want consistent, scalable conventions for their files and systems.
The project was created by Javier Cuello of Fuller Design Systems and is published free under a Creative Commons (BY-NC) license.
